Safety and Security Engagement Session with LUNAS Vendors

On Tuesday, 15th October 2024, Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) together with the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) hosted a Safety and Security Engagement Session with its valued vendors at the Auditorium Building 102, LUNAS. This session aimed to strengthen safety and security measures, particularly within the shipyard and fostering closer cooperation between all parties involved.

LUNAS’s Chief Operating Officer, Commander (R) Jal Shazidi Bassari, and the Head of the Safety & Security Department, Mr Muhamad bin Ramli delivered detailed presentations on the shipyard’s safety protocols. Their sessions emphasized on the critical importance of maintaining stringent safety standards to ensure smooth operations across all projects. Commander Mohd Firdause Aziz from Bahagian Perisikan Laut RMN added further depth to the session by addressing the security protocols required when operating within the highly regulated environment of the naval base.

This initiative is part of LUNAS’s continuous efforts to create a collaborative, safe and secure working atmosphere for all stakeholders, including vendors and contractors. LUNAS deeply appreciates the active participation of everyone involved, recognizing that these efforts are crucial in upholding the shipyard’s commitment to delivering excellence in the maritime and defence industries.
