In response to the call by the Minister of Finance II, YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, for government-linked companies (GLCs) and private entities to assist flood victims as part of our collective duty as Malaysians, Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) stepped forward with a significant contribution to the Misi Bantuan Banjir Kelantan.

This humanitarian mission, organized in collaboration with the Gabungan NGO Negeri Perak aims to deliver essential supplies, to those most severely affected by the devastating floods in Kelantan. The initiative underscores the importance of unity and shared responsibility in times of national crisis.

The flag-off ceremony took place on 25th December 2024 and was graced by YDH Toh Seri Bijaya Lt Col (R) Dato Shaharudin Haji Nazari, Orang Besar Jajahan Manjung, as well as YB Cdr (R) Nordin Ahmad Ismail, Lumut Member of Parliament. Representing LUNAS at the event, Corporate Communication Assistant Manager, Rizal Zubair attended to lend support and ensure the mission’s successful departure.

We hope that the contributions made through this mission will provide much-needed relief to the flood victims and ease their hardships during this challenging time. LUNAS remains committed to extending support where it is needed most, demonstrating our unwavering dedication to the well-being of the community and the nation.
