On the first day of Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2024, Lumut Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd (LUNAS), a leading Malaysian shipbuilder is proud to announce that we have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a renowned counterpart from the Republic of Indonesia, PT PAL Indonesia! The MoU signed today will look into future collaboration in shipbuilding projects between LUNAS and PT PAL Indonesia to push the boundaries in innovation, develop cutting-edge solutions and ultimately strengthen the maritime capabilities of Southeast Asia.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Willgo Zainar, Marketing Director of PT PAL Indonesia, and YBhg. Datuk Dr. Shahrazat binti Haji Ahmad, Chairman of the Board of Directors for LUNAS. The signing ceremony was witnessed by YBhg Admiral Tan Sri Abd Rahman bin Ayob, Chief of Navy, Royal Malaysian Navy and Ir. Azhar Jumaat, Chief Executive Officer LUNAS while TNI Major General Pien Budyanto, representing the Deputy Defence Minister for Republic of Indonesia and Admiral TNI Erwin S. Aldedharma, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy as witnesses for PT PAL Indonesia.
The MoU signifies our shared vision for the future and a giant leap towards the advancement of the maritime industry especially in shipbuilding. We hope that this promising partnership will benefit both nations.
