KD KASTURI REFIT Program at LUNAS
From its commissioning in the 1980s to its recent REFIT completion, KD KASTURI has been a cornerstone of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), serving with distinction across various missions.
Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) made the successful completion of its REFIT program possible, with the vessel commissioned on 2nd December 2024, followed by its physical handover to RMN on 14th January 2025. This achievement not only enhances KD KASTURI’s operational capabilities but also highlights the vital role of local expertise in maintaining and modernizing critical naval assets, safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty. With its advanced systems and enhanced performance, KD KASTURI remains a formidable force, reinforcing Malaysia’s maritime defense capabilities for years to come.
