On 8th January 2025, Senior Cadet Officers of KD SULTAN IDRIS 1 from National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM) conducted an industry visit to Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) as part of their Final Year Military Training 24/25 program. The purpose of the visit was to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the functions and roles of the organization, as well as to offer them first-hand experience of the company’s operation.

Mr. Azhan Radiman, Manager of Corporate Strategy and Business Development, warmly welcomed the Commanding Officer of KD SULTAN IDRIS 1, Capt Shahril Amir bin Mohd Mokhtar and fellow cadets. He provided a comprehensive briefing on the company’s mission, vision, values, and track record. This interaction aimed to equip the participants with valuable insights into the operational dynamics and strategic objectives of the organization.

The visit was an excellent opportunity for the participants to gain practical knowledge and engage directly with industry professionals, thereby enhancing their readiness for future roles and responsibilities. It also underscored our dedication to developing its workforce, emphasizing the importance of human capital development.
