Commander (R) Jal Shazidi Bassari, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS), paid a courtesy visit to Commander Ir. Ts. Ng Keng Lip, Commanding Officer (CO) of Western Naval Maintenance and Overseer Unit (UPSB) of Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) on July 9th, 2024.

The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen the cooperation between LUNAS and RMN in managing the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities for naval ships. Discussions at the UPSB CO’s office focused on optimizing the workflow and processes at LUNAS shipyard specifically for RMN vessels, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

Moving forward, this strategic partnership underscores our commitment in delivering excellence in order to advancing our MRO capabilities while leveraging LUNAS expertise and facilities.
