As a strategic partner to the RMN, we are delighted to provide a platform for our stakeholders to delve into the complexities of repair works involved in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) of Naval Vessels. On March 21st, Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) welcomes representatives from the Seksyen Kontrak Pusat & Sistem Panel Kementerian Kewangan (MOF), Procurement Division of MINDEF, Engineering Division, Western Logistics Headquarters and Western Naval Maintenance and Overseer Unit of the RMN.

The purpose of the visit was to enable the committee to observe and assess the conditions of MRO projects for Naval Vessels, thus gaining a comprehensive insight into the challenges faced. The delegation’s visit began with an in-depth briefing on our yard and
the current status of ongoing MRO projects. This introduction was followed by a detailed walkthrough of the MRO project area, providing them a close-up view of our solutions and the meticulous attention we dedicate to every project.

We are hopeful that this visit has illuminated the path forward for MRO activities concerning Naval Vessels. LUNAS is grateful to be recognized as the government’s reference site for this study.
