Engagement Session with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence
Lumut Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd (LUNAS) along with its subsidiary, LUNAS Langkawi Shipyard Sdn Bhd, are pleased to have been invited to an engagement session chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, YBhg. Datuk Seri Isham Ishak. This session took place at the Grand Ballroom of Flamingo Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on 27 April 2024.
The session brought together 214 delegates from 156 companies within the defence industry, providing a platform for dialogue on the future directions and policies of Malaysia’s defence sector. Discussions focused on the establishment of the Coalition of Defence Industry Malaysia (CDIM), aimed at fostering stronger collaboration within local defence community. Representing LUNAS were its CEO, Ir. Azhar Jumaat, and Mr. Muhammad Hanif, Head of Corporate Strategy and Development, while LUNAS Langkawi Shipyard were represented by Mr. Mohd Amri Din and Mr. Syahir Ab Magid.
