LUNAS Recognized for Green Initiative by Tenaga Nasional Berhad
Lumut Naval Shipyard (LUNAS) proudly announces its recognition by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Perak for participating in the Green Electricity Tariff (GET) program, demonstrating its commitment to Green Initiatives together with TNB. The Certificate of Achievement, presented on 25th June 2024 during TNB’s Customer Appreciation Negeri Perak 2024 at Weil Hotel Ipoh, marked a significant milestone in LUNAS’s collaboration with TNB in green initiatives. On 26th June 2024, a team from TNB dan its subsidiary GSparx, visited LUNAS to further exploring opportunities and collaboration in further green energy initiatives. Representing LUNAS were its COO, Cdr (R) Jal Shazidi Bassari, alongside with Senior Manager Mr. Jamaluddin Abdullah and Dr. Azman Ismail, together with Competent Chargeman Mr. Suhaimi Hamid.
Representing TNB were Madam Norsiah Ismail, Madam Haezrina Mohd Raflis, Mr. Azlan Mohamad and Mr. Khairul Nizam Mahtar and GSparx by Mr Elmie Fairul Mashuri and Mr Mohd Shuhaimi Ismail. The Certificate of Achievement was presented again to the management of LUNAS and follow up with further discussions focusing on to continue the plan for installation of solar at the company’s premises. This initiative underscores LUNAS’s leadership in promoting operational sustainability and environmental responsibility within the maritime industry.
